本書は、2024年スペイン・グラナダで撮影され、翌年同・マドリッドのFundacion MAPFREで開催された大規模回顧展「Sakiko Nomura: Tender is the Night」（2025年2月6日～5月11日）で初公開された作品と、未発表作品によって構成されている。 この展覧会は大きな反響を呼び、2026 年 3月からスペイン各地を巡回、その後ヨーロッパ各地へと巡回予定で、国際的に野村佐紀子の存在をさらに広げる契機となっている。 スペイン語のタイトル「Lirio（ユリ／アイリス）」は、死者への供花であり、生者と死者を結ぶ象徴的な存在を意味している。 本作ではその象徴性を軸に、失われたものと残されたもの ──そのあいだに息づく親密な記憶を、繊細に映し出している。編集・造本設計・出版を手掛けたのは、日本を代表する造本家・町口覚。表紙には、麻と紙を撚り合わせて織り上げたオリジナルの麻の紙布（しふ）を用い、その独特な質感に〝闇に刻まれた傷が、夜明けへと導く。〟という造本コンセプトを重ねるように、ふたつのデザイン（SCAR Edition / DAWN Edition）を制作。 タイトルロゴには、スペインの詩人フェデリコ・ガルシア・ロルカの手書き（筆跡）に基づいて設計されたフォント「Federico」を採用。モスクワのタイポグラファー、オルガ・ウンペレヴァの手によるその文字は、抒情と静けさをたたえ、写真集『 Lirio』の世界に花を添えている。 ＊日本発売の特典として、脚本家・映画監督の荒井晴彦氏による別刷寄稿文が本書に挟み込まれている。 （出版社より） [condition] New 新品 [Artist] Sakiko Nomura 野村 佐紀子 [Publisher] bookshop M [size] 23x17cm  288p [Published] 2025 This publication brings together works photographed in Granada, Spain, in 2024, alongside previously unpublished images. The series was first presented in the major retrospective Sakiko Nomura: Tender is the Night, held at Fundación MAPFRE in Madrid from February 6 to May 11, 2025. The exhibition received widespread acclaim and began touring across Spain in March 2026, with further presentations planned throughout Europe. It has become an important opportunity for introducing Sakiko Nomura’s work to an even broader international audience. The Spanish title Lirio (Lily/Iris) refers to flowers traditionally offered to the dead, symbolizing a connection between the living and the deceased. Centered on this symbolism, the photographs delicately evoke intimate memories that linger in the space between what has been lost and what remains. Editing, book design, and publishing were overseen by renowned Japanese book designer Satoshi Machiguchi. For the cover, an original textile made from twisted hemp and paper fibers was specially developed, its distinctive texture reflecting the book’s design concept: “Scars etched into darkness lead the way toward dawn.” This concept is expressed through two separate editions: the SCAR Edition and the DAWN Edition. The title logo employs Federico, a typeface designed from the handwriting of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. Created by Moscow-based typographer Olga Umpeleva, the lettering conveys a sense of lyricism and quiet contemplation, adding a poetic dimension to the world of Lirio. As a special feature of the Japanese edition, an exclusive essay by screenwriter and film director Haruhiko Arai is inserted as a separate booklet.
