He is known for his immersive, experiential works, such as creating an artificial sun or man-made waterfalls. This book documents his 2014 exhibition “Riverbed”, held at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in his native Denmark. For the show, Eliasson covered the entire museum floor with stones imported from Iceland (his parents’ homeland) and constructed an artificial stream, transforming the museum into a riverbed-like landscape. The photographs are by Iwan Baan, a photographer renowned for his architectural work with Rem Koolhaas, Herzog & de Meuron, Zaha Hadid, and SANAA, among others.
