森田具海さんは1994年生まれ、京都出身、水俣在住の写真家です。
石牟礼道子さんの本がきっかけで、東京藝大在籍時から水俣に通い始め、7年前に水俣移住して来られました。
地元の人や外からやってきた人達とコミュニケーションをとりながら、一見しただけではわからない、埋もれた記憶を紐解くように、水俣の風景を撮り続けています。
森田具海（もりた・ともみ）
1994年、京都府生まれ。
2019年、東京藝術大学大学院先端芸術表現専攻修了。写真家。水俣湾の埋立地や入江、岬の風景などを記録し、生活者の身体の一部のような眺め、記憶が息づく場所を写真で表現している。現在、熊本県水俣市を拠点に活動。

Tomomi Morita (b. 1994) is a photographer born in Kyoto and currently based in Minamata. Inspired by the writings of Michiko Ishimure, Morita began visiting Minamata while studying at Tokyo University of the Arts, eventually relocating there seven years ago. Through communication with both local residents and newcomers, Morita continues to photograph the landscapes of Minamata, unraveling buried memories that are not immediately visible at first glance.
Tomomi Morita — Biography
Born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1994. Completed the Graduate Program in Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. Morita’s photographic practice explores views that feel like extensions of the living body and places where memory quietly resides. Recent exhibitions include “Gazing at the Traces of the Sea — And Believing” (EUREKA, 2025), “Viewing from Here, Minamata” (Tsunagi Art Museum, 2024), and “Viewing from Here, Minamata and Noto” (Studio04, 2025). Lives and works in Minamata, Kumamoto.
