熊本在住の写真家、もりやままなみさんの写真展を開催します。
昨年12月に刊行された、パートナーの齋藤陽道さんの詩集「まなざしの川をわたる」に掲載されている写真が中心です。
じっくり目を凝らすと見えてくる、ささやかにしかし力強く存在する何かを感じました。
「もりやままなみの写真は、闇夜の底でけろけろけろと鳴くカエルの眼にうつる月光のような底知れなさがある。その深みに、私は20年間、惹かれ続けてきた。」

略歴
Moriyama Manami
1986年、東京都生まれ。 写真家、りんご屋さん。
東京都立石神井ろう学校、帝京大学教育学部、日本写真芸術専門学校夜間部卒業。
2020年から熊本県在住。
日本手話で育ったネイティブサイナー。
大学時代にモノクロ写真に出会い、その独特な造形と己のアイデンティティがかみ合う。
2010年ミオ写真奨励賞受賞のち個展を開催し続け、多岐な分野にて活動している。
齋藤陽道とウェブマガジン『こここ』にて 「働くろう者を訪ねて」連載中。取材、執筆担当。
齋藤陽道 詩集『まなざしの川をわたる』にて写真担当。

Manami Moriyama
Born in Tokyo in 1986. Photographer.
Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Shakujii School for the Deaf, the Faculty of Education at Teikyo University, and the evening program at the Nippon Photography Institute.
Based in Kumamoto Prefecture since 2020.
A native signer raised using Japanese Sign Language.
During university, encountered black-and-white photography, where its distinctive formal qualities resonated deeply with their own identity.
After receiving the Mio Photography Encouragement Award in 2010, has continued to hold solo exhibitions and remains active across a wide range of fields.
Currently serializing Visiting Working Deaf People with Harumichi Saito on the web magazine Kokoko, responsible for research and writing.
Served as the photographer for Harumichi Saito’s poetry collection Crossing the River of Gaze.
