写真家・吉田亮人のいとこの大輝が突然の自死によってこの世を去った後、大輝と共に暮らしていた祖母が88歳で亡くなるまでの約三年を追った物語「The Dialogue of Two」は、最愛の人間を失った者が死者とどのように向き合い、対話しながら生きていったのかを、 吉田の祖母が生前、何度も何度も語って聞かせた「ある話」を軸に編まれている。 　この物語の前日譚である作品「The Absence of Two」は祖母と大輝の日常とそれが終わりを迎えるまでを描き、2017年のKYOTOGRAPHIE国際写真フェスティバルで発表され、国内外で大きな話題となった。本書は2022年に限定43部のアーティストエディションとして刊行され、Image Vevey Book Award 2023/24 (スイス）の最終選考にも選ばれながら、瞬く間に完売。この度Three Books版として装いを新たに、2025年1月発売を迎えた。 -出版社より “The Dialogue of Two” is a sequel story to “The Absence of Two” which was first exhibited at KYOTOGRAPHIE 2017 and subsequently compiled as a photo book published by Seigensha / Editons Xavier Barral.
